27 Men from Community of Joy attended the monthly Men’s Group meeting at Good Sam’s.

Prior to breakfast, Pastor Ross spoke to us on the topic of prayer and Jack Woodman provided us with team assignments for the up coming May-Fest gathering where the Men of Joy will be treating the Women of Joy to an event at church starting at 9:00 am on May 6^th.

After breakfast, our featured speaker was Gary Vogt from the Coronado Fitness Center. Gary covered a variety of subjects regarding staying active, proper nutrition and the many benefits derived from getting regular exercise. Gary emphasized that it’s never too late to create an active life style through becoming more active.

The February meeting of Women of Joy included a touch of Mardi Gras with delightful decorations and food.

Doris Harder lead a lively and very informative book discussion on THREE CUPS OF TEA.

Mark your calendars for the March 16^th meeting, which will be a trip to Hot Springs for a tour of the Arkansas School of mathematics, Sciences and the Arts. ASMA is a two-year residential high school and is part of the University of Arkansas administrative system. We will meet at church and car-pool from there. Please be at church by 9:30 a.m., as we need to be at the school by 10:15 a.m. Lunch will be served in their cafeteria. The cost of lunch will be $5.

Don’t miss out on the May 18^th Daughters Luncheon that Women of Joy will host at the Austin Hotel in Hot Springs. More details to follow, but Eileen Miller is encouraging our members to send a photo of yourself taken between the age of 5-12 years old.
