How do you pronounce that last name?  Worch is a German name and the "o" is actually pronounced like the "er" sound.  Therefore, Worch rhymes with church.
What should we call you?  I will respond to Pastor Ross, Pastor Worch, Pastor, or just plain Ross.  Most folks normally call me Pastor Ross or just Pastor.  I prefer not to be called "Reverend." In my "book" that term implies that some people are more "revered" than others.  I believe that we are all the same in God's eyes.
Since you are a retired officer from the Army~~ do we have to salute you and call you sir?  You only need to call me "sir" and salute me when you are reporting in some official capacity. Your shoes should be highly shined and your hair should be short and/or very neatly combed as well!  (I'm just kidding here folks. You'll find that I like humor a lot! [I also realize that I would need to "salute" a couple of you who retired at a rank above mine!]).
Were you a chaplain in the Army?  No, I was an officer in the Adjutant General Corps.  That means that I most often worked in personnel and administration ("people programs"). I never had to shoot at anyone, nor was I ever shot at.
What is your educational background?  I graduated from a rural high school near Columbus, Ohio in 1966.  I graduated from The Ohio State University with a BS in Zoology (Pre-Med) in 1971.  I received a Master of Arts Degree in Human Resources Management from Pepperdine University in 1981, and I received my Master of Divinity Degree from Trinity Lutheran Seminary in 1998.  Cheryl has a BS in Education from Ohio State and a Master of Arts Degree from Ball State
